As an adult you are better off being a realist but there are brief moments (such as when viewing a beautiful sunset or starlit sky) when you should give in to the wide-eyed wonder children exhibit.

Yes, for two reasons.
1) Children are innocent, and have no problem distinguishing good and evil, whereas adults do. A child raised in an extremely racist environment can realize that racism is wrong when they meet a person of another race or see someone of another race hurt.
2) A lot of what our society calls 'growing up' is the loss of ambition, dreams, and appreciation. People who appreciate things like going to the park and other simple things are often called childish. People are expected to go and live the daily grind, whereas a child can see the beauty and fun in things, and always hope for more.

I think the majority of us here try to look at the world through youthful eyes. When a question was asked not too long ago about how old you feel inside of yourself, most of the respondents had answers in the 20s or 30s.

That sounds rather disturbing if you ask me, but if we let them keep their eyes in, then the kids are alright.
It's not their fault the Adults around them want to be like them, I reckon the kids find this entertaining anyhow. Unless their Parents have taken their roles too seriously and wish there children to grow up in a boring enviroment where they can only be used for show, or just to fit into a wretched consumer and ego driven society.
I find that appropiate behaviour is the one that keeps everyone entertained and hopefully happy, the kids are good fun.

Always. When I am depressed by the trials of life I step back and see things as I would being a child. Then everything looks better.

Yes, you can see things with fresh eyes and an open heart. You can feel things too that we tend to block out or take for granted. You can get new ideas and not be so sure of failure when you think "hey, maybe..."
You can see meaness rather clearly too.

It is a fresh look without previous experiences that may have jaded us. There is an innocence to it that may help us to see it in a way we never thought of before.

Yes, that is when they are innocent, and truthful. We can always learn from that. Their minds aren't contaminated with garbage.
