Yes monks have proven this and I think they tend to live longer than your average joe. The question is have they truly lived without experiencing the most natural feeling of intimate human contact.

Catholic priests, nuns, monks, et al just have to stop having sex after taking their vows--very few are probably virgins.

Of course. The priests, the nuns, the monks.....anyone, if they have the willpower (I do!). You don't have to have sex to survive.
