I cant remember the lyrics but I remember the song was about A guy complaining about life and it was on the same album as message in a bottle although it could have been a compilation album. Anyone has any idea?

No I think the guy was complaining about his wife burning his toast or something at one point

"Message in a Bottle" was on the album "Regatta de Blanc." I'm thinking of the song "On Any Other Day," which, according to wikipedia, "is a humorous take on a middle-aged man's mid-life crisis."

Lyrics are about his wife burning scrambled eggs, his dog biting his leg, his teenage daughter running away and his son being gay. You can see them here: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/p/police/on+any+other+day_20110079.html

II2 is right. The song is On Any Other Day, which was written and sung by drummer, Stewart Copeland. It's on the Reggatta De Blanc album.

A bit of trivia for you: Stewart Copeland also recorded incognito as Klark Kent, way back when.
