Me and my boyfriend of 2 years would like to go away for the weekend just to get away from our normal lives. We both love the nature and sight seeing. He is not much of one to go shopping. We both are in our lower 20's in age. Please inform me of some cities that we may want to visit and any sights that may be of interest to us. If there are any nice hotels to stay at for an evening let me know. Thanks for all your help.

the heck with Nashville, Indiana- go to the REAL Nashville! it's not that far away and it's so much fun here! There are tons of honky tonks where you can listen to life music 24 hours a day, dance, drink a little! There are some great parks- like Radnor Lake or Warner Park or Longhunter State Park for some beautiful hiking trails. You can browse the Farmers Market which is pretty cool. There are great places to stay and great restaurants all over. Historic mansions and plantations from the civil war era- Belle Meade and Carnton plantation are 2 of my favorites- and civil war battle sites are interesting. The hermitage- President Andrew Jackson's home is a good tour and has a cafeteria on the grounds that has traditional Southern food. Hope this helps- have a fun time wherever you choose to go!

Nashville, Indiana is in the Hoosier National Forrest, about an hour north of Indianapolis. It's known for its beautiful trees and fall colors. There are bed and breakfasts and motels nearby.

Of course, Indianapolis and Louisville, Kentucky both have a lot to offer if you want a bigger city experience.
