son a lot of that depends on you as well as the degree and were the degree is from. The better the school is known in your field the more the degree will mean in the job market; but you have to present your self well too! You also need to remember that no job in to-days job market is fully secure. My cousin is a computer wiz's she lost her 88K because her company was brought out and she was making to much money by the new owner's standards. She was out of work for over a year, she finely got a state job at 50K. Things change! Good Luck! The degree can't hurt!

Well I know for a fact that a 2 year degree in computers can get you a 40K/year job within about 4 years of graduating if you play your cards right. I think if you play your cards right you could at least get 60K with a bachelors degree.

Sure. I have a computer science degree and my job pays pretty good. It all depends on what area you want to work in though. Testers don't make that much, they are on the lower end of the scale. Programmers make more. IT support pays in the middle probably. DBAs make more than programmers.

It defiantly can, if you choose to go into the computer industry. They say with every degree you have you are almost guaranteed $20,000 more a year with each advancing level of education. So to sum up my statement, if you get into something having to do with computers you should do well salary wise.

No way. The stuff they teach in school is old. You are better off finding a decent job, and coming home ever day searching for information on a particular subject you would enjoy profiting from, and starting your own business.

Absolutely not. Most reputable technology companies hire H1B visa workers from India and China. It would be impossible for you to compete with these people.
