Well, I don't know how anyone could be surprised, but mostly I am just sad for her kids. They are too little to understand anything except missing their mom, and it's going to be hard to heal the damage that all the turmoil and un-parentlike behavior from both parents.
As a mom, I'm praying for those kids, and also praying that maybe today's youth can see the moral to this cautionary tale about celebrities gone wild and making babies without being prepared for the commitment of parenthood. It's that sad cliche of "babies raising babies."
I was certainly never a party-er by Brittney's standards, but I know I sure grew up once I knew that I was responsible for a helpless innocent baby.
There is an epidemic in this country of unplanned pregnancies to young mothers/fathers who either can't or won't take proper responsibility. Grandparents, other relatives, and in too many cases, foster parents, and social service agencies wind up having to get involved in raising the poor children who never asked to get put in that situation.
I believe that we as a society all need to do a better job of educating people how to be parents and supporting children of crisis pregnancies, single parents, etc.
Brittney's story is one extreme tabloid example of worst case scenario. The bottom line should always be what's in "the best interest of the children", and celebrity or not, the children should come first before personal fame, thrill-seeking, etc.
I guess it's also another example (like Anna Nicole's baby) that wealth and fame don't necessarily equate with a happy childhood.

I could not photograph it going down to a nicer.... oh nevermind, I fairly do not care. Okay k, I'll supply a truly reply. No child must need to develop up being ready to Google his mother's identify and get public pictures of her junk. So that is not a truly reply, both, however it is Brittany Spears, there is not a lot truth there, besides. Ever see the photograph from the Mickey Mouse Club together with her, Christina Agulera, Justin T, and a couple of others within the identical organization? These humans were in delusion land considering the fact that day one.

She failed to comply with any of the judges orders in the custody arrangements made in Sept...she got what was coming to her...she is not above the law but honestly? I am SO SICK of Britney Spears and her overblown ego and self centered behavior. Why is the media pandering to her childish actions? She courts the paps and then crys they are ruining her life. There are so many aweful things going on in this world today and focusinf so much attention on a washed up child star is a waste!!

regardless of what the article says she knew she was at risk of losing custody of her sons if she didnt shape up and she quite clearly hasnt.
i'm aware that her behaviours are not teh type that can change overnight but a concertted effort would go a long way and for the sake of her children she should have tried harder
I've no doubt this action will break her heart but better that than two children not looked after properly

Could not care less. People lose custody of their children all the time. Why should people give to poops when it happens to a celebrity?
Besides this is nothing more than an attempt to get media exposure. In a few months, the media will make a big deal about her getting them back, and when people forget about her again, she'll lose them again or get married again.

I, as a divorced mother of two, am appalled that she has been successful in retaining the children this long. She is a disgrace, and embarrassment, and needs A LOT of guidance- she does not deserve to have the privilege of raising children.
I, obviously, feel very strongly, that the title of "mother" should be earned. She, repeatedly, makes poor choices and needs to grow up and learn that her first and foremost responsibilitiy should be her CHILDREN!
Hurray for the judge- it's about time someone stands up to STUPID celebrities!!!

Well, if she would have cared to have custody in the first place she would have produced the license, not missed the tests and took some responsibility!

I don't feel sorry for people to fail to plan and plan to fail. It's like feeling sorry for someone who is failing their class....if you didn't do anything then you fail...if you were given a chance to pass with extra credit and you didn't do it then it's your responsibility for failing and once you've seceded in failing you go out and get a tan and stay in a hotel and don't show any emotion because you've failed. That shows that your heart just wasn't in it. So that being said, her heart wasn't in it to save her custody...she did nothing and didn't try. I don't feel sorry for her. Her poor boys don't have the fault. I can't believe she is in the state of mind that she is in. I mean, if I were in her shoes I would be fighting tooth and nail for my sons...but she didn't. She partied and continued to do the things the public was judging her for and gave them more and more reasons to judge her. She asked for it.
Give me one scenario when Britney showed that she deserved to have her kids? Because she doesn't! Kevin fought for his sons and did everything possible, whether it was for a legit purpose or not. She didn't even try once!

It happens to ppl on a daily basis...her incident was made public, because she is a celebrity. That's the only reason! My moms friend lost her kids, and no one gave a damn...
I feel that if she really wants to get her kids back, that she should to everything in her power to abide by the rules the judge has given her. If it was me, I would do whatever it took to get my babies back! And I believe that any good parent would!

I'm glad that she lost custody of her children. and i don't think Kevin should get the children either because i think they will be in danger with him as well . Those beautiful children should be with their grandparents and not with parents who don't give a **** about their children it SAD!! If they love their children they wouldn't be doing the things their doing like partying, doing drugs and acting a fool!!!!!!
