Smile. You were right to call him out on his stereotype. I've heard somewhere, that simple judgments are usually made by simple minds... They also are connected to a fragile ego, it seems... So, consider the source... I am afraid, that there are a lot of simpletons actually voting these days, that is why we have a fool for a president in USA.

It all depends on what other in the community will allow someone to get away with, obviously there is a large population of those that don't mind humoring this jackazz and not reporting his question, mainly because there are actually people out there that believe that stuff. Although he may or may not have been just trying to get a rise out of people, the fact that you insulted his beliefs may have been enough for some to think your answer was inappropriate. Too much PCness is what causes this. Just chalk it up to those that leave immature questions and answers are probably quite immature as well and won't even read let alone consider another view point. They can dish it but they can't handle it, they bark is worse than they're bite, etc.

The Internet is bizarro world. People behave like monkeys here. I think perhaps YA just wanted to stop any sort of bickering, maybe?
Personal experience: earlier I asked a genuine question of someone because I really did not understand where this person was coming from. I essentially, in a very cordial and polite manner, told this person how I interpreted their beliefs, and then allowed them a chance to tell me where I was wrong (the wise man knows himself to be a fool, right?). I did not assert any personal opinions of the subject matter, yet I was accused of "attacking" this person as well as being stupid, "not taking my meds today," making apparently outrageous claims because I "say such things because I simply do not understand fatherhood or motherhood," and pejoratively being referred to as "a typical feminist." Again, I was only trying to understand where someone was coming from, and I never asserted personal opinions.

It is still a 'man's world', but I wouldn't mind seeing a woman become president! She couldn't be any worse than Bush!

I dont think so. I think that man is really wrong. I think women should do housework and that stuff but if they can do other stuff as well thats great. A woman would be a much better president anyway.

He posted an opinion, you posted an insult. What you deem to be insulting is not what objectively is insulting. The world does not revolve around you.

Becuase he stated his opinion, you resorted to name calling.
