My homeroom teacher was a physics teacher and he solicited some of us to build the booth that would house the science projects. Can't remember what the project was now.

Sure did. Much to the dismay of others.
Brought in my pet (was a wild critter at one time) to give folks a close look at a critter from the wild & had written up all sorts of facts about it for others to read, & what good pets they make.
Problem was, a couple kids got to teasing my critter & everyone within a 40 foot range found out a fact about my pet they will never forget (as did I).
Had to take my science project home way earlier then the other kids. Not to mention what the principal had to say about it to my parents (they had no idea I had taken my pet to school). I was grounded till I finally got rid of the smell from my body.
My science teacher hated me for the rest of his natural life.
In case you are still in the dark about what my pet was:
A skunk
Story is true folks.

In elementary school I experimented with different filaments to see which would make the best light bulb. It was cool, but not as cool as my son's science fair projects: two years ago he tested to see if a hamster running on a wheel could power a light bulb (in theory yes but a real hamster was far too weak to power a real light bulb we could find) and last year he built a trebuchet to see how far it could throw marbles. Those were cool.

Yes. I built a couple of computers. They were simple by todays standards, but were more logic oriented with questions leading to one of two answers. One was a game that could hardly be won by the player.

Not in high school, but in elementary school....but can't remember my project....must have been dull as science wasn't my forte' - I was more into social studies and language.

No. I got kicked out of science for eating Kool-Aid in class. I had to go to summer school to make it up.
