As long as sreesanth doesn't get physical or abusive with the player of the opposing team, his behavior is acceptable. But in case if he takes it further to like pushing the batsman, kicking him, blocking his way -- then he has crossed the line. I remember very long time back in 1998, Harbajan Singh used to do the same. He got into the face of Ricky Ponting in 1998, after dismissing him and an argument erupted between him and ponting. Later Harbajan was slapped a suspension of several months by the ICC board, and fined significantly. After that, Harbajan stopped being agressive and became a gentleman. I'm afraid, same lies for sreesanth. Why risk suspension and fine, by displaying such behavior? Also if a player has talent, then his numbers speak for themself. He does not need to show it in mouth and words too.
For example here are the bowling figures of sreesanth against Australia -- 9 overs, 67 runs and 3 wickets. Conceding 67 runs in 9 overs is too heavy and expensive --- 7.44 runs an over. at a run rate of 7.44, in 50 overs 372 runs can be made. 3 wickets taken too -- but did that help? it didn't. Because its the score which counts, not how many wickets are lost by the opposing team.
So it seems as of now, he is more in words than his actions. Taking wickets isn't enough to celebrate, its the run conceded too which needs to be taken into account. And against Aus. he is mostly an expensive bowler.

True agree you, & see very soon he's gonna get him self smacked by Symonds or Hayden the two Huge Giants of Aus & learn a good leasson from them.
Having in the team is not at all a problem, & i dont think he is spoilling the name of the country but he acts a bit too much when he is on the pitch.
He goes always beyond the limits when he gets a wicket as if the batsman had raped him before - shows so much of anger.
I think he behaves like that to have his place always in the team like Sachin.

Make no mistake, he is not spoiling the name of the country. If that had been the case, the country called Australia's name would have been spoiled long long back. Thats the way Aussies too do it. Thats how McGrath does it. Thats how A Nel does it. Thats how S Waugh, Ponting do it. There is a complete list of people who are involved in sleding rather than playing cricket. This is the first time that Ind has got some one in its ranks that can stare the opposition in its eye. I think that it is not bad at all. It is all for good.
We need to be happy that Ind has got atleast one player with this kind of agressive attitude, and dent the pshycology of the opposition. I think its a boon to Indian cricket to have sreesanth, rather than thinking that its a bane.
Indian cricket needs more players like that. All these apply only if he is able to make the ball talk along with his mouth. His performance should never get affected. If its his fire in the mouth and behaviour, that peps up his performance, then so be it. Dont tamper him. He is fine.

Why do you kinda dislike Sreesanth? Only coz he has the guts to watch eye-to-eye with any cricketer in the world and doesnt get bullied?
If you would have seen the way he bowled against the Aussies, you would realise that he's such a great find. He would stare after every delivery, try to bully great cricketers and on the next ball, he would ball in the right areas to control them and stare again.
He knows that just swearing isn't gonna win him matches and this is where he is different from Andre Nel who doesn't quite bowl well and just try to abuse batsmen to get wickets.
I think we should persist with Sree. He will learn to be a bit more consistent over a period of time.
Did Glenn McGrath bring disrepute to Australia coz he asked Sarwan about how Lara's d*ck tasted? Or by verbally abusing players and poking fun at them?
Dude, the Poms, Aussies and South Africans behave worse than Sreesanth in EVERY match. And lets not forget, Sreesanth NEVER STARTS the duels. The Aussies do. Sadly for them, they always fall flat on their faces. Just like the Poms and South Africans did.
Don't make a big fuss about it. Even greats like Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Allan Border, Dennis Lillee, Steve Waugh have done worse things than Sreesanth and got away. The difference between them and Sreesanth is that their media just didn't focus on their antics. However, our media is run my dim-witted morons who believe in bashing their own country than other players' antiques

i am big fan of india, but somehow sreesanth´s behavior is absurd & even embarassing. For no reason, he provocates the opponents by staring at them for a long time. He also bowls way too many extras & is overenthusiastic about the game, but he doesn´t have good sportsmanship. But in the absence of real good fast bowlers, India probably have no choice but to play him b´coz he does get crucial wickets.

What Asif doesn't realise is sledging has been part of the game since 1850.
You never see Poms sooking about it do you?
Fact is until now msot sub continent players don't know how to sledge so their fans just cry about it like school girls.
This bloke is a breath of fresh air. Good luck to him!

Look, he is not abusing any player. He is just a naturally aggressive guy & he just shows some of it to the opponents on the field.
It's completely healthy. Even Aussies do that regularly.
He is an important member of the Indian team. Team management should back him. He adds a lot to the team.
Cheers!!!

I fully agree that sometimes he over reacts and more emotional in the field, which is not at all in good taste.

he is a fool & he makes me laugh everytime i watch him. ive always said that a little sledging is ok but what sreenath does isnt sledging. he should stop his crap & let his bowling do the talking. australia will easily win this series.
