He's not going anywhere. Quote it. Remember it. The second you turn on ESPN and see that he's resigned with Bronx Bombers, think back to this moment and say "Wow! Comfy had it right the whooooole time."

A-Rod would like to stay a Yankee and the Yankees would love to have him. There are only a handful of teams that can afford the $30 million plus per year amount he would command. If he stays with the Yankees he will get approximately $25 million per year for the next three years and when his contract ends and he will also be 35 years old. However, if A-rod can negotiate a new ten year contract with the Yankees now he would get at least $5 million more per year starting next year and coming of a great year this year I believe the Yankees will negotiate a new contract to keep A-Rod a Yankee. It really is a crap shoot and A-Rod could follow the money if the Yankees waiver.

Since I have the first pick in my NL only pool next year, I am hoping the Dodgers or Cubs.
The other side of the argument on Arod is that currently the Yankees have the benefit of Texas paying for part of his salary, effectively cancelling out the luxury tax on his contract.
If Arod opts out, wants another $5 mil a year, plus the 30-40% luxury tax, that puts the yankee's cost of having Arod from about 23 mil to perhaps 40-42 mil and I think that's where the Yankees tell him no.
However, what's better to have, Arod or Torii Hunter and Johan Santana. I would go with the latter.

properly i'm a Yankees' fan, and that i hate he got here back. i did no longer like it 4 years in the past while they have been given him, i did no longer like it the entire 4 years he became with the Yankees, and that i will hate the subsequent 10 years. i'm bored with listening to human beings say he's the superb baseball participant on the instant, he's not, by no ability HAS BEEN, NOR WILL HE EVER BE the superb. Does all and sundry incredibly look at his stats while in comparison with others or do they in basic terms go by ability of all the hype. he's a under undemanding third baseman, his selection as a third baseman is under undemanding, he makes close to the desirable in blunders. He hits properly, i will provide you that, or perhaps at that he in basic terms hits while there is not any rigidity on him, he chokes once you like him and in submit season he's clueless. So why does everybody save asserting is is the superb on the instant or perhaps worse the superb of all time, there are a number of taking part in on the instant that are much extra suited than he's. I desire i became wealthy, i might pay him $30 million, a 300 and sixty 5 days, in basic terms so he would not sign with the Yankees.

Were I him, and I am not, I would look at what other superstars are out there.
Can you imagine a lineup with Pujols batting third and A-Rod fifth or sixth.
I say no more . . . .

It depends on who buys the Cubs. If Mark (Cub)an buys the Cubs, there will be an unlimited amount of spending in the offseason which includes the high profile signing of ARod. Go Cubs!
