Western Union Id Number

The person you sent it to just has to go to any place that has a western union. Places like malls, grocery stores, check cashing places, ect. have them. The person will NOT need a photo ID if you provided a secret question, and the person who is collecting the money can produce the question and answer to the clerk. Let's say you make the question "What color is my hair?" and you make the answer "black", the person getting the money could use that and not need an ID. There is a spot on the form for this. If you don't use one, they will need an ID. Usually Zip code, city don't matter, but the state does. Or if you are in New York City, it would have to be listed as NYC and not NY State.

It depends if the recipient is in this country or another; in this country probably a driver's license or state-issued ID. But call the Western Union office and ask them.

Be prepared to have 2 IDs.

Any of the following, as long as your photo and your signature appears:

1. passport
2. driver's license
3. SSS or GSIS id
4. company ID

The IDs I have are my BIR ID and Philhealth ID all with pictures as my Postal ID and passport are all currently expired. I was told that my BIR ID will be honored only if the amount sent was 2000Php and below, also my US visa which expires in 2018 I was told can not be honored if I am to receive money from abroad. I have not tried other agents yet, but Can someone tell me what it means when you say Government issued IDs as well as those issued by their entities, if a Philhealth and BIR ID is not valid according to them?

Take your pick as long as it's valid.. <*-*>
☻Passport
☻Driver's License
☻PRC ID
☻NBI Clearance
☻Postal ID
☻Student ID
☻Voter's ID
☻GSIS e-card
☻SSS ID
☻OWWA ID
☻OFW ID
☻Employment ID
☻Government issued IDs

You need a MTCN and the number of IDs you need to present depends on how much money will the recipient receive. If below $200, you only need one valid ID but if more than $200, you need to pesent 2 valid IDs.

I was pretty sure you need to specify the name of the recipient and city when you sent the money, maybe i am wrong. you tell the recipient the transfer number , they take their id to the western union office or agent in that city and collect.

I have been sending money to the Philippines by Western Union for over 7 years. To recieve money in the Philippines the reciever must show a drivers license or an I.D. card issued by the local municipality, A passport or some people will accept a student I.D. card. What ever type of I.D. you use, it must have your photo on it. The sender will also have to give you the "Control Number" for the money transfere

I would contact Western Union to find out information regarding Western Union money transfer recipients.
