i think that those that roundly criticize people for doing just that should not compromise their values by defending him just because they think he is "on their side".
they only out themselves as hypocrites by doing so.

I don't agree with the premise of your leading question. I listen to Rush Limbaugh every day. I also listened to the slanderous remarks made by Senators Reid and Harkin.
Your question is phrased in such a way that it amounts to slander as well. Mr. Limbaugh did not insult soldiers for speaking their minds. That is a bold faced lie.
Listen to Mr. Limbaugh's conversation and show me where he denigrated the troops. He used one soldier as an example who was phoney and was convicted of trying to defraud the VA.

I read the transcript. While I might believe that he was referring to one soldier in this instance, he basically says that anyone that is a Democrat or disagrees with this war is a coward and a white flag waver. Now, if you really believe there are no soldiers that fall into either of these categories, raise your hand. You are excused.

There are two types of people in this world.....the first type spreads cheer and happiness and the other type spreads poison and evil.
Rush fits the latter.
Our soldiers are oversees fighting for our liberty and you have people like Rush insulting them. Without them fighting for our freedom, he would not have the job he is enjoying.
God bless our soldiers and God bless America!

I'd be outraged...if it were true. But it isn't. You need to pay more attention, my friend. Every single allegation made by Reid and his ilk on the Senate floor has been totally debunked. Rush's references were totally aimed at FAKE soldiers who portrayed their service...if it existed at all...as being something that it isn't
Jesse Macbeth was ONE example he gave. The kid portrayed himself as being an Army Ranger who served in Iraq and SAW Iraqis hung and burned by our troops. He claimed to be a Purple Heart recipient with an honorable discharge. ALL LIES...He lasted 44 days in boot camp and washed out.
Another example were a group of "vets" who were tapping into the VA health care system, when they were not eligible.
So get your facts straight. my friend before you look as foolish as Reid and Harkin.

He is a terrible person. I really don't understand how people can listen and dedicate a portion of their day to him. There will never be a time where he will not critize or insult someone that has a difference in opinion. He spreads hate.

I think he's a college dropout, drug junkie, three time divorcee "family values" spokesmen, draft dodging, liar.
People like him only respect veterans if they think like him. If not, he calls them "phony soldiers."
