I can just imagine how much the voters loved putting LSU in the top spot. They loved every minute of USC’s struggle against Washington because that meant they finally had a reason to push the Tigers over the top (albeit by only 2 votes). Did they see LSU in the first half against Tulane? And what has Tulane done since the Shaun King era? USC committed 16 penalties for over 160 yards and, on top of that, gave up 3 turnovers and still won. How many teams can do that? Washington only gained 190 yards, too…

Understand that Polls are opinionated and are fallible. They are based on people's collective opinions. The fact that LSU struggled for a portion of the game against Tulane and then got on track, whereas USC struggled the entire game with Washington never getting on the right track and that USC did in fact play a faulted game with so many penalties, show the voters that they are not coached as great as the previously thought. Everything you stated about the games over the weekend is reason for the polls to go in LSU favor. That on top of the fact that LSU has played a harder schedule up to this point in the season. Don't let it bother you so much, because the "opinion" polls will mean nothing as long as they are #1 and 2 at the end of the season then the BCS game will make a lot of people on these sites disappear.

Havent you already asked this question about 10 times? O yes the media loved putting LSU #1 thats why they are in the USC locker room before every game getting passed around by the players. LSU might have struggled against Tulane in the first half but still won 34-9 while USC got lucky to beat Washington 27-24.

Oh BAA-FRICKING-WAA. You are such a loser. Are you aware that WA is just as much a suck team as Tulane? Also what was the reason that USC got 16 penalties, 160 yards, AND gave up 3 TURNOVERS? Uh, could it be they suck. All this to an unranked team.
LSU played a crappy 1st half but they rallied and came back and won in the 2nd. The media had no choice but to give LSU the number 1 slot (in one poll).

By the way, what the hell is a corndog? Something you pulled out your butt or what?

that's the 1st positioned up you have positioned on right here that makes it seem such as you somewhat watch soccer. so a great way as "who else can try this?" i might say playing a subpar group, any between the authentic communities can commit effects and nonetheless win. the three turnovers are pathetic. No reason of USC to grant the ball to them three times. Now as for LSU-Tulane. i do no longer understand how plenty you somewhat watch LSU soccer, yet this previous weekend LSU ran the comparable few performs each possesion, purely like in week a million vs. Mississippi State the week until now VT. LSU ran an worry-free zone protection and that i-formation and base 4 extensive shotgun offense for countless the sport. definite, LSU did play sloppy interior the 1st 0.5, yet that may not almost as undesirable as USC's sloppy play for 60 minutes of soccer against Washington. Please for the affection of God will you people enable the college soccer season play out...take this week as a lesson, no one can tell what's going to ensue each week in soccer...all of us can beat all of us. and that i'm an LSU fan, and the extensive sort one score skill no longer something to me good now....purely as long as interior the rankings until now the NC game LSU is ranked a million or 2 so the final rankings could be desperate on the sector with my Tigers makin the quick holiday to New Orleans!!!

The voters don't watch the games. They look at the final score. They don't look at turnovers, penalties, if some of the points came in garbage time or anything. They look at the final scores to the games. This is why Division 1A College Football polls are corrupt and just dead wrong. They don't tell exactly how good a team really is.
We need a freaking playoff system!! This will give us a TRUE National Champion!!

You are right......about us TIGER fans putting LSU in the top spot, but we coming to take your top spot this year!!! Regardless of what LSU did in the 1st half, they still beat them, and USC struggled against everyone they have played so far. Lsu has yet to show signs of a struggle for an entire game like your Trojans...man pleez...they cannot handle LSU's DEFENSE!!! GEAUX TIGERRRRRS!!

A struggle to win does not prove USC is the best team in the nation. It actually shows there weakness. LSU would beat USC. The Trojans are overrated.
