He is the father of a nation where a billion plus human beings reside, thats about one fifth of the entire human race.

I wonder what people living in other parts of the world and in other worlds than this know about him

Mahatma got married at the age of 13 yrs and was having sexual interactions with his wife when his father died in the next room. He was 15 at that time I think. His autobiography "The Story of My Experiments with Truth" clearly tell this.

Mahatma means "Great Soul" and his philosophy has nothing to do with "No self desire, just sacrifices etc" His philosophy teach you only this, if you are firm and honor the truth (rational), you can achieve stuff with totally nonviolent and peaceful strategies

It depends on how much history you read. Gandhi through the British out of India with a plan of non- violent resistance. The British were used to violence and did not know how to beat Gandhi, so he was victorious in the end. Marten Luther King adopted the same principles in his struggle for civil rights. He read the history of Gandhi.

Mahatma is not a name.Itis a philosophy,the true art of living. No self desire, just sacrifices to the human beings, irrespective of cast, creed and colour.

I just remember that he went on numerous fasts to free the people of India from Britian. Also, didn't he remain celebit for his entire life?
