Well, I am going to buy some new parts to my pc (almost all the parts), and i need some advice.
These are the new parts I'm buying

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 2.4GHz
Motherboard: Abit IP35 PRO ATX
Graphics Card: Asus GeForce 8600GT DDR3 512MB
Case: Cooler Master Centurion 534

It looks like I have some pretty much wiring work to do, and im asking, is there anything special i shall think of when i assemble my pc?

And my friend told me that i should get this g0 revision of the processor, because it overclocks better, and run at a lower temperature. How do i see what revision i have on my processor when i have bought it?

And also i would appreciate some tips overall regarding assembling a pc.

Kind Regards, Jacob

Hi. You do not mention what power supply you will use. This is a good place to spend your money because a poor PSU will cause a poor PC. The motherboard goes in first, the CPU goes into the socket second (with a light coating of Arctic Silver), the heatsink and fan go onto the chip, then connect the wiring to your motherboard, drives fans, etc. After this is complete put in the GPU and any other cards you want. They usually do not need any wiring.
