I am a 15 year old girl.I have been living with my aunt and uncle for about 4 years now.I have left my mother for personal reasons.I am the eldest daughter of 7 children and i think my mom is somewhat capable of taking care of us all.But since i have been living with my aunt and uncle i dont want to go back...Honestly i think it would be best to stay here. But the problem is,my aunt and uncle can't do anything for me..such as enrollment and seeing the doctor.I am currently in a school problem now because i have been withdrawn from school because my aunt lives in the district but she is not my legal guardian. So what i need to know is how to get my aunt and uncle custody over me and what forms or whatever they need to have to do that. Also where i can go to find a notary republic.

Banks will have a notary public.
If your mother is allowing you to live with your aunt and uncle, she should be fine with granting them a temporary guardianship to allow them to enroll you in school and such. If not then your aunt and uncle will have to think about talking to a lawyer and discussing what options are available.

You can find a notary public in the phone book. Your aunt and uncle must petition the Court for guardianship over you. They can do that by contacting the Family Court (or whatever it is called in your area) and getting the proper forms and filling them out.

Go to the Court house and get a 'guardianship' form. Have your Aunt and Uncle fill it out. State the reasons: you live there, and need to have them to be able to sign for you in case of emergencies of Health, Schooling, etc..
I took guardianship of my ten yr old nephew, because he was living with me, and it only made sense. I didn't have to go to court, because his mother signed the forms without a problem. If you mother doesn't care, you should have no problem. Just file the forms after they get signed. ......back at the Courthouse.

I'd have your aunt and uncle talk to an attorney. There are documents they can have drawn up [in my state we call them Parental Authority]. If your mother is in agreement, all she'd need to do is sign the document at the attorney's office. Attorney's usually only charge a small fee for that service.

I had some drawn up for my children when I left in the care of their grandparents while on vacation. This gave their grandparents permission for practically everything, except marriage and adoption.

Go to your local social services office and ask for advise. You may need to contact a lawyer and they will need to file for legal guardianship. they will need to prove that you have been living with them and how much do your real parents provide for your care? It may take a while, but dont give up on it. good luck

I'm not sure, but I think your mom has to sign over her custody.
