The conservatives seem to hate us liberals so much. Why? I don't understand it. We both want to help the country, its just that we have two completely different outlooks.

I want to bridge he gap. How Do I get a Conservative to like me?

We don't hate you all as people, we just severely disagree with the policies you want implemented. If you want Republicans to back your ideas and think favorably, you are going to have to compromise. Look into GOP issues, pick some you might align with. Maybe you're against abortion, maybe you believe the US can prevail in Iraq. Maybe you don't want a big nanny state socialist government. Surely not EVERYTHING the Democratic party platform offers appeals to you? Not every conservative policy appeals to me. I oppose discrimination, and therefore I must oppose discrimination against gay marriage.

In first place, what do they did till you think they hate you?. Assumption is not a reality.

If you DON'T UNDERSTAND the two parties very well then it will be difficult for you to bridge the GAP between them.

You must set yourself in a NEUTRAL position by not bias to any party.

Not all Conservative value is BAD likewise not all Liberals value is GOOD therefore as a Liberals, you need to accept certain values of conservative so that they would accept certain value of Liberals.

I think it is better to make them RESPECTED you rather then to make them like you. Therefore to prevent them from hate you, I think, you have to show your appreciation and respect of their values even though you don't have to agree with or accepted the values.

I believe the problem with both sides of political issues are the failures to listen to each other long enough to get a complete and overall picture of what's being said.

Although I consider myself to be conservative...I'm not ultra conservative.

My problems with those of opposing views are when you show them facts ... not just rumors or what a friend told them ... they refuse to listen or acknowledge fact.

Professional politicians rub me the wrong way because when they speak...their party members listen and receive the information as if it was information engraved in stone. A good example would be all those politicians as far back as 2002 who've stated publicly that they agreed there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Now many politicians seeing the public outcry over the war are back stepping saying they opposed the war from the beginning yet they stood on public television agreeing that we needed to intercede. No matter what happened before...we as a nation have to realize that terrorists have declared war against us. The events of 9/11 are fact. I'd rather we fight on their soil than our own. Those opposed to the military action want to do a repeat of Vietnam and let politics dictate what we do.

So who do we blame...liberals...conservatives...or dumbed down voters who are overly biased based upon "he said she said" nonsence?!

What I also have a problem with is the conflict between Americans because we can't seem to get our act together.

There is a happy medium between conservatives and liberals but when one gets ultra left or right...it seems nobody's view or opinion are right unless it agrees with their agenda!

Hang in there....I like ya!

Not all Conservatives are like Dick Chenney, just as not all Liberals are like Hillary Clinton.

I never judge anyone by their political affiliations, I hope this isn't a rare occurrence.

I think all of us & the nation would be better off if moved to a more moderate form of politics & governing.

Get into an auto accident to have as much massive brain damage as what other conservatives have so you can agree with them and also be a conservative.

I'm a conservative and have no reason to hate you. It's about time we all get along but we have to stop the attacks on each other and give up our pride and try to work it out. I don't know how it will be done cause the ideaology is so far apart but where theres a will theres a way!

Your first priority is to do the right thing and concentrate on what you want to do for your country.
Don't spend your time in tring to make them like you.
Probrably never will like you...or
Proprably they admire you but they are on the other side so..

Take good care!

You have to kneel before an image of King Bush

Then you have to denounce the Constitution

Then you have to build a Corporate base until it grows so large that you outsource and rake profits off death and torture.

Who cares? You do what you know is right. If conservatives don't care to be your friend they probably aren't worth having as friends in the first place.

Short answer: Change your point of view.

Like and agree with are too different things. You can like someone and not agree with them. Or someone can like something about you and think that you're a total liberal buffoon. Liking you doesn't have to be about your political leanings. You can be funny, smart, pretty, have great legs...none of these things have anything to do with a political agenda...Unless your a radical Liberal and then it's ALL about the message....
