Let's just assume for sake of arguement its costing 1 billion dollars a day, and that 3% profit is 3 million (cause not all of that 1 billion goes to contractors).

Let's assume that this war in Iraq and the occupation are illegal and only done so that government can fund these contractor projects.

We've lost 4000 soliders or will by end of 2007.

How about instead of these illegal wars and occupations of other countries, the politicans can have 30-40 million dollars a day,

they can give this money to their friends,

This not only saves US taxpayers about 960-970 million dollars a day, but we'll not have to lose any US soliders.

What do you think.

Let's assume that everything we're being told is a lie, and that everything our government and president does is wrong, so I can make a point that has no merit because it's out of touch with reality.

I don't like a plan that gives politicians 30-40 million / day. They make enough money off of me, that's retarded! Iraq is not about 'how do we spend millions of dollars', it's a war! Soldiers die in a war, that's how it works. Don't let the enemy convince you it's not worth it, because that's the only weapon they have. They cannot win. They cannot defeat our entire force, don't be silly.

I think you made a lot of assumptions and that you don't have any real facts.

I think you called a lawfully declared war illegal. Please give ANY basis on which to call the war illegal.

I think you are assuming that 100% of the cost of the war is going to contractors. rest assured the military in Iraq is not working for free. Part of that cost is their pay, meals etc.

Looks like, lib, you answered your own question. KBR and Halliburton are the main contractors which in turn are owned by shareholders (stock). Management provides a return to the shareholders in the form of a dividend or reinvests the money in the company. This is public info if you really wanted to know.
