what do u use to put a speedometer to the transmisson from being loose?

This question is not very clear. anyway if you;'re talking about the speedo housing sliding out of the tranny theres 1 inch long metal retainer thats held in place by a 10MM bolt. Thats the only thing I know about speedos. If its coming out then someone had the gear out & didnt tighten the 10mm blot back down or they removed the retainer completely. So you may have to go get it from the salvage yard.
