they make lovely pets and as for the comment about them smelling they obviously werent kept clean enough !
they require a good size cage , Vitamin C which you can find in brocoli, cucumber and apples plus plenty of hay and fresh water daily.
they will be nice to cuddle and stroke but you do have to get their trust as they are nervous at first. Please get a pair as its better than one on it s own :)
best way to tame them is to let them settle in for the first two day s just talk to them and feed them, then stroke them then next to pick them up for a cuddle. They will run but its in their nature as they are prey animals. Mine used to be like that, now he runs to me when i call him and he loves a chin rub and behind the ears. As long as you handle them every day and be gentle they will become great pets for you.
(you cant keep them in an aquarium !! )
Rats also make great pets but im not sure if you like them ?

If you get a guinea pig when it is a baby and hold it a lot, it will most likely be a great pet to love, without too much attention needed. I have 4 guinea pigs and they are all pretty nice. I have one who when I go up to the cage and say his name, he will come and rub noses with me. He also likes to sit in my lap. They do shed, though, especially the long-haired ones. You might want to spend some time holding them at the pet store before you get one so you can see if you are allergic to them or not.

Hey there...check out guineapigcages.com for info on how to make a cheap and excellent cage for a pig, also what they are like in behavior/how to make cheap homemade toys and info for beginners on how to take care of them.
They are great for holding and stroking, though many are shy at first and they need to get to know you.
They aren't 'easy pets' though..expect to spend at least as much time taking care of a guinea pig as you would a cat.
And ignore the guy who said they smell. They only smell if their cage is not kept clean. For years guinea pigs have been kept in tiny cages too small for them, thus their waste builds up and smells.
Big cages are best! :D

Hi, they are not nocturnal lol they are awake during the day and sleep at night like we do.
And they make great house pets (they only smell if they aren't cleaned out enough) but please get 2 instead of one as they are sociable animals.
I have had 2 purely indoor piggies and they were very loving and talkative but make sure that if yours will be running loose when you are home that all cables are well and truly secured out of nibbling reach (lost many a phone cable to my boys) they also need to have a consistant temperature so not next to a radiator or too near a draught. My boys loves our dog and our cats and we would often find on of the cats asleep in the bedding side of the cage snuggled up with them, or they would be snuggled up inside our dogs bushy tail
At the moment i own 4 piggies 1 male (neutered) and 3 girlies (all rescue) and they live free range in my extremely secure garden with 2 rabbits during the day and they live in a chicken coop at night in my garage,
they all have unique characters and love nothing more than a cuddle and fuss.
Piggies very rarely bite (you get the odd 1 who is grumpy) but they do need more specailist care than say a cat. They do have specific dietry needs (vitimin c especially has to be supplemented as they don't produce it themselves) but you can find all the info you'll need and more on the guinealynx website.
If you would like anymore advice please email me and i'll be more than happy to help

If you're however struggling to improve you're straight and you are trying to get your hands above the side, put Vert Shock to the check, a course you will think it is here https://tr.im/S9kOb and give it a take to, you'll be astonished of how fast you can become a monster hopper if you train the right way.
This system won't cause you to leap tens and thousands of occasions since Vert Shock was made and employed by actual elite stage basketball players.
As it pertains down to it, in the event that you genuinely wish to leap higher, you simply found the best program in the world to do so. Any other way would merely be a waste of time.

Guinea Pigs make wonderful pets! You can keep them in an aquarium, but they are very affectionate and somewhat trainable. They are not as likely to run and hide in inaccesible places should they accidentally get out. They can be noisy, but, well, so can dogs. They are relatively clean, depending on the bedding you choose and their diet. They don't need as much exercise as a dog or quite as much attention, if you are busy at work. But they do like the occasional outing, and love to be cuddled. So yes, I think this could be an excellent alternative pet for you.

Great pets, but get as big a cage as possible if you have enough room in the house - are happy outside as well but I bring them in at night during cold snaps.
Very nervous animals and will run for cover when startled - so let them have somewhere to hide.
Better to buy more than one as they happier in pairs or more.
Change their bedding daily to avoid smells.
Also require their nails to be trimmed regularly.

My friends piggy lived outside all the time whether it was summer or winter, but when it was cold outside it had a piece of carpet over the roof and front of the cage so the cage wasn't overly cold. Hope this helps
