You knew Hoffman would blow the game! It doesnt matter if holliday touched the plate Hoffman would have given up another hit the next batter anyway. Hoffman has blown every big game hes ever pitched in. Padres had 2 chances to clinch with the great Hoffman on the mound and he blew both games. Anyone who calls this guy the best closer ever is crazy hes a choke!

As a Rockies fan, I'll admit that it looked like the Hof choked... But, Peavy is the real choke artist here... Cy what?
The Rox are the hottest team in baseball right now and have a better record against Philly and just won 2 out of 3 games against Arizona... So, look for the Rox to be in the World Series... against the Yankees!

I just don't agree with you on Hoffman. How can you say he has "blown every big game he has ever pitched?" when you know it is not true. With 524 saves 2.73 ERA 1.05 WHIP and the opposition hitting .209 against him, no other closer in the history of the game can equal these career numbers.

no question he is the best closer ever, but he does choke in big games(all-star game, playoffs) but the hof looks at the numbers...
