As much as I like the Steelers, they'll have to be at their best to beat the Patriots in Foxboro! I don't think the odds are good of them beating the Patriots with anything less than a total team effort on both sides of the ball!!!

the odds of Pittsburgh beating the patriots are slim to none!!!! Pittsburgh is off to an ok start I'll give you that...but they just lost to a mediocre team in the cardinals!! How do they expect to go on the road and beat New England???The patriots right now are the best team in the NFL, no one has been able to stop that high powered offense and their defense isn't playing bad either if you haven't noticed. Polamolu putting pressure on Brady would be ideal, I haven't seen a team put pressure on him all year and when he has time to sit back and make all his reads he will pick a secondary apart......but with that being said the steelers will also need Polamolu's help accounting for all the fire power the Patriots have at receiver! Long story short, Steelers lose!

I wanted to say your Steelers would have a chance of beating the Patriots... but after watching them play against the Cardinals. I'm not to sure about this Steelers team.
I think the Steelers will need to find Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes OPEN. Big Ben can't afford to throw interceptions and given Brady and that explosive offense any chances.
I think Brady is smart enough to step away from the pressure of the Steelers D'...
The biggest part of the game is can the Steelers stop Moss?
If they stop Moss will they also contain Welker, Stallworth and Watson.
The game is in Foxoboro giving them a big support don't be surprised if this game ends 31-10 in favor of the Patriots if Big Ben turns the ball over or the Pats defense contains Parker and Holmes and Ward.

If the steelers defense can keep New England out of the end zone, their chances are ok. That is a big if, but if they can keep new england from scoring a lot then they may have a chance.
But realisticly, Big Ben is a moron. Good passer, but dumb as a tree stump. Bill Belichick will confuse Ben with bazaar looks and coverages and more than likely the pats will have 5 or 6 takeaways. I dont think the steelers match up well in this contest.

not good, But they have a punchers chance.
Pittsburgh is 7th against the Pass and 5th against the Rush. Making them 2nd overall in combined Defense.
They actually let up less points than the number one ranked defense, the Pats (11.8 ppg vs. 12.0 ppg for the Pats)
they are +3 on give away/take aways, tied with NE so that even there.
Haggans is going to have to come up big for P-burgh to have a chance. He's got 3 sacks on the season and leads P-burgh in that catagory.. Pressure on Brady is the key to beating NE.
So can Pittsburgh do it? Yes....Will they? probably not...

Slim n' none. The Patriots offense is too much for the Steelers. Besides, the Steeler offense will have their hands full with the Pats defense.

Wait until the week of the game then ask again. Alot can happen with both teams between now and then. As they are right now if they met I would have to give them a chance because anytime two good teams meet in the NFL it's up for grabs.

I think it's gonna be a great game... It's gonna be a 50/50 chance as long as the Pats don't cheat.
