She is not a friend.

And I hope you have your deal in writing or proof of your payments because I will bet you have to sue her to get any of your money back.

Sorry, she sucks.

yeah its totally a wrong thing to do. An agreement doenst have to be in writing to be legal in a court of law. If you have shown that you have paid 50 bucks a week. You would think the court would side with you.

Even if she says that wasnt our agreement. What is she going to do? Come and try and take it?

Ask OJ how that worked for him.

Just stick to your agreement or make her sue you in court. Just keep paying your 50 bucks a week until she is paid.

That was a rotten thing to do. I don't like that kind of a friend.
If it was me...I would take the horse trailer and hid it at somebody else's place until you finish paying for it. In a garage of somewhere where it can't be seen. Or in your garage (if you have one) and lock it up.
Tell her that she is not being fair to the agreement.
Maybe, she is in a spot for money and she is putting you in a spot too. In the future, have a written agreement. And keep all of your receipts.

Did you have a written agreement? If you do, point out to her what it says. If you didn't, then it gets a little stickier, but just tell her that your agreement was $50 a week and that's all you can do - that's only 2 more months.

Tie it down with chains when you aren't using it.

Tell her that you are making payments to complete the sale within the agreed time frame.

Tell her that if she wants to pursue the matter in court, you will happily oblige.

When you make your payments in the future GET A RECEIPT.

You had a verbal agreement and you've already paid into it so you can take her to small claims court if she doesn't agree just have a lawyer draw up something saying that you can sue her. Normally its free.
