I was just wondering if any of you repairs laptops for a living and if so could you tell me how long on average you charge, how much time you spend on each repair and how you started... By that i mean 1 laptop a week? 2??
Thanks in advance for your answers

I am not into this business, but my company does send its PCs to a company for servicing and this is what I learnt.

You don't just service laptops. You service a variety of computer equipment, mostly desktops.

A simple service can cost a laptop about $100, but if you change any of the material there, it will cost more, much more as this is a laptop.

The other day, my company send a laptop for repair and it cost the company $400!

i have laptops for my business but they are all under a warranty with the company they where bought from either to fix or replace. If you want to go into this type of business I suggest you fix any computer and maybe look at students who cannot afford to replace but are unlikely to have warranties etc. The other option is to offer your services on a self employed basis to PC companies who already offer this kind of service. good luck.

depending on the problem, it can take between 20 minutes and maybe several hours to repair one laptop.

i usually charge £15 per hours work + parts.
