Depends on what the contest is.
If it's something trivial, it doesn't matter what place I come in because the activity is about the fun of the experience.
Like playing a videogame with my friends or a little footrace between buddies or something.
If it's something important, it matters because it's a reflection of my performance and will further my status in life.
Like operating a business or using my talents in a career aspect.
But either way I don't dwell on the loss too long because as long as I win in the main game, the Game of Life, I have another chance to win the contest.
Coming in 2nd in the Game of Life means Death so as long as I'm breathing I can always try again. Might be a little miffed at first losing something important but as long as I can go for it one more time, it's all good.

I suppose I would be satisfied, but still disappointed in a way. I mean, you trained your @ss off for whatever sport or event your competiting in. And did you know, of the 3 places, 2nd is the least satisfied? 1st place is the most content because you're first. 3rd is next when it comes to satisfaction because you barely made it, and you managed to get into the top 3. But when it comes to 2nd, you couldn't get the top spot.

When it comes to love and romance I always have to come first! Will not accept taking 2nd place to anyone!!!! But in normal everyday life- it doesnt bother me at all. Im only human and can only do my best at something and if someone else can do it better- Im just fine with it.
