Do libs understand what REAL working Americans are willing to do for their country?

Farmers, soldiers, cops, firemen, truckers and anyone who works with their hands instead of their mouth...
We'd fight and die for our country. We do it every day. If a terrorist were to attack my lib neighbor, despite how much I dislike my lib neighbor, I'd put a bullet between the eyes of the terrorist. All I'd want in return is a "Thanks".
America isn't perfect. Libs make a few claims that are correct, but most are baseless and far out. There's cons that make some pretty far out statements too, but overall, I like my side better, because we'd NEVER tear this great (but imperfect) country down!

Just like Limbaugh calling soldiers who disagree with him "phony".

Just like Bush standing in front of soldiers at every speech while he vetoes and fights any legislation to improve their pay and benefits. Or, cutting funding for local police and fire departments.

Just like the Republicans in congress who filibuster any legislation to help the troops because their 'lord and master' tells them to.

Maybe because the Cons and Republicans are the party of the rich. Perhaps these working folk of whom you speak vote the way they do because they are not as dumb as the politicians assume them to be, and they vote for their own self-interest, instead of the interest of Big Business and the rich.
Crazy idea, I know... imagine.

The irony of the submitters argument however, is that the so-called current leaders of this country, the face of the conservative movement, have already proven that they would never personally risk life and limb for this country, yet have no problem sending the working classes children into an unjustified war to fight for people who don't even want us there.

I'm not saying liberal leaders are any better... but lets not throw stones when we live on a block full of glass houses.

I have tremendous respect for McCain's service, and for Kerry's service, but apparently the conservative movement doesn't respect war time service, since they ran smear campaigns on both these honorable gentlemen's service for their country at war and under fire.

If you tear the people down you are tearing the country down. We all have freedom of speech weather we all agree or not is another story, the fact is we are entitle to our and your opinions without being told we are unamerican. You said it, I am middle class and work very hard for my family and pay taxes to my country without looking for ways to cheat the government even though when my husband retired from the military there were many broken promises by the government, yet we still love this country.
I also will fight for my country and my neighbors and take a bullet ( even though you said you'd shot) for them and not expect a thanks!
Also you say this country is imperfect isn't that tearing it down? I love it for what it is!!

I am just wondering if there is any possible way you could over-generalize even more than you have done here.
Does EVERY soldier work with their hands?
Is EVERY farmer, soldier, cop, firefighter and trucker conservative?
And I want you to point to a source that shows ANY American liberal who has publicly stated that they want this country "torn down".
Shouldn't you be in class right now with the other 6th graders?

The patriot act already tore this imperfect country down. It is reminiscent of Nazi Germany. This was down out of fear. Cons have been so stuck on 9/11 that they have let terrorists win the war. We've spent a half trillion to supposedly combat terror when Al Queda has spent 500 thousand. Aren't we pathetic? Terrorism is not just about physical violence, but also financial destruction, and psychological manipulation hence the "terror" in terrorism.

All those groups of "working Americans" that you mentioned are the CORE of the Democratic PARTY. We, "Kemo Saby"? Democrats have saved this country from bankruptcy since Roosevelt and the Republicans are the ones that are taking it to hell in a hand basket. So only people who work with their hands, and who are not liberals, would fight for this country? And all people who don't work with their hands are liberals? What about liberals who work with their hands? As a non liberal who worked with my hands for 15 years and am now training to be a history teacher, in my humble opinion you haven't the faintest grasp on anything resembling reality and it's easy to see why you are employed at manual labor (no other options). Working with your hands is great, but you should still try and learn something every once in a while.
