Being a neocon requires strict isolation from reality. How else could anyone persist in believing that the Republicans still support smaller government and less spending when all of the facts clearly show the opposite? I don't necessarily agree with everything the Democrats want to do either, but at least they're open about their intentions. The Republicans have been so consistent in practicing the opposite of what they preach, all true conservatives should be voting for Democrats because they're more traditionally conservative than the neocon Republicans! Bill Clinton had the only balanced budget in decades, while George W. is running the deficit into the trillions. If the Republicans truly believed in smaller government, I'd be out campaigning for them, but as long as they continue on their current course I'll continue to encourage everyone I know to vote against them.

The cause becomes more important than anything. If you disagree or are part of group they hate, you are a target. They want to wipe you out literally. They would love for us all to wear arm bands and label us as dissenters. The detention camps across the country could be your chartered destination if it were up to them. They are Nazi's!
