Problem with P2P and internet connection?

every time i use a P2P program (mainly utorrent) it works for about 30 seconds and then it cut's off my internet connection this only happens when im using a P2P program im on XP but i was on vista and it happened on there just not as much. so any reasons why this is happening and any ways to fix the problem??

Are you using a router?

try turning off DHT (or something like that). Its that feature that tries to connect without tracker, but it may be a bad thing for certain router

Happens to me all the time. My dlink dsl500 router cannot have that feature without resetting all the time.

Don't use DHT if possible.
