Just saw on the NEWS last night that the Christian Coalition, unhappy with the unconservativeness of the Republican candidates, is considering backing an Independent who is more in tune with their agenda. This is great news for Democrats, as one thing that the Dems have learned from the past is that Indies only work to split the votes and get the opposing side elected. Conservative Christian Republicans are hoping this will be a show of force to the Republican party. But since there already is a supposedly Conservative Christian Republican in office, and yet the Christians have still failed to reinstate prayer in school, the ban on gay marriage for every state and the overturning of Roe vs. Wade ... my question is, what force do the Christians think they have?
If I Democrat is elected into the White House, the Conversatives will realize that they no longer have a foothold in politics and that there truly can be a separation of church and state, as our forefathers intended.

I agree with the majority of your statement but disagree with your argument.

I feel that the Religious Right is using the third party argument right now as a scare tactic to draw republican supportes away from Giulani. However if they do field a third party candiate they are essentially giving the election to the democratic candidate, this will increase there control in national politics. The republican party will understand that they can not win a national election with out the support of the religious right and would not field a candidate they oppose ever again. I heard an interesting comment this morning, some one said the only way the evanglical voters would field a 3rd party candidate would be if they felt the republicans were going to lose anyway.

I think the Christian Coalition is bluffing here about endorsing someone else, but it seems like all of the frontrunners have problems with the Christian right so if those voters are not energized, don't vote or vote for a third party candidate, (kind of like dissillusioned voters voted for Nader rather than Gore in 2000) that will definetley hurt the GOP, this is the "base" that Karl Rove built and elected GWB twice, so it will be interesting to see what happens nexxt if they are not as enthusiastic about this next nominee.

It really doesn't matter too much. Abortion is a dead issue unless the constitution is amended. That takes 2/3 of the people in each of 2/3 of the states to approve vote for it. That is why constitutional amendments are so hard to pass.

As far as I am concerned any medical procedure should be between the patient and his or her doctor not the state.!

You start state sponsed abortion where does it go from there.? Genetics like practiced by Hilter's super conversative Nazi Germany. Now I know you dem libs will love that.

Now that brings up your separation of church and state. That also has the little pesty nor abridge there of in it as well. Another clause the libs don't like. Then there of course is the feedom of speech. Which according to the Libs is freedom of speech only if they like what is being said. Another pesty problems for the Dem Libs to get changed in the constitution. Only thing they forget is if Republicans get elected. Then they're freedom of speech is outlawed because the Republicans will no like it.

NOW TO SOLVE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL:
I propose all oil be cut off until 50% of the population converts to Isalm. Then embargo be relaxed for six months to one year.
After that oil again be cut off until 50% of the remaining population converts to Isalm.
Then constitutional amendments to proposed outlawing all forms of religion except Isalm. That only an Imman can be elected to any public office. That only an Imman can be a teacher in primary or secondary school. That only an Imman can approve or disapprove of hiring police officers. That only an Imman can accept or turn down a student's application for College.
Yeah! all pertty radical right! But think about it. In a round about way that is what you lib dem's and you con Republicans are proposing.
America does not need that or want that.! We will stick at dead even at six o'clock in the middle of the road. Thank you very much Lib dems.! Thank you very much Con Reps.! But no thank you to either of you.

Christian conservative spent a lot of money in the last elections, they wanted payback for their ideas just as any contributor would.
Just because what they want is against the constitution, and the majority of Americans don't want legislated what they want legislated wasn't important to them. They want a theocracy, and they want their leaders to head it up.
They will fight tooth and nail for the next presidency because the Supreme Court nominations will spell out whether we will be able to enjoy privacy in medical procedures or not, in short, abortion and the quest to make it illegal for everyone at all times, will begin again. If a Democrat gets in and the elderly judges who have been hanging on as liberals can leave comfortably knowing they won't bring in a conservative, they will have a lock on decisions that will combat the recent madness in the Supremes.

Conservative christians are not real christians. They serve the devil with their worship of money. The abortion issue is the way the devil uses christians to take time away from their good works. Why is abortion more importain to some christians then serving Jesus? Money, abortion, gay rights have taken away time from God.

Well, one power they seem to have is the power to instill in you what appears to me to be a totally irrational fear.

I suspect if you were better informed on the Constitution and the limitations of the power of the Presidency, none of this would worry you quite so much.
