Our family is getting bigger...our second child is due in May 2008. We are looking to move out of NYC...we're thinking Connecticut, NJ, somewhere near NYC. Our combined income is $70,000. Any serious ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It depends on where you work. Will you have to commute downtown? midtown? work from home? Draw a circle with a 15-20 mile radius around where you work and research the tows that fall inside the circle. There are several real estate websites that offer free info on the towns. Explore commute times with people that do it everyday...Ask friends, coworkers about quality of life, property taxes, schools, traffic, etc. in their neighborhoods.
Good luck!

NJ will be better for reasonable prices, but , you knew that! Check out the link and see what you get. It will be an easier search here and yet you still get the same number of listings that are on www.realtor.com!

Richfield Park, NJ. Small, cute, and your income is above the median income of most residents there.
