I'll bet my life that out of every 100 sexual harassment claims, that 3 are legitimate cases of outright abuse. This one falls into the area of frivolous claims by a disgruntled employee who is probably mad about something else that doesn't stand a chance in the courts and is using the easiest way to make money AND ruin someone's reputation. She has nothing to lose but her anonymity, and in todays world of instant fame over the most outrageous forms of behavior, and shameless self-promotion, I doubt very much that she is regretful of anything. I was on the fence with this non-news item until I heard her make her political proclamations at her unnecessary news conference after the jury verdict. If she is such a moralist, let's see what she does with this award after the taxes and after the lawyers have been paid. Will any of her take go toward non-profit organizations to help women or humanity? Let's see if she tries to live a life of anonymity instead of writing a book, selling the screenplay, hosting a talk show, or becoming a "face" for some political advocacy group. She might be a legitimate victim, but there is a lot going on that tells me otherwise. I'm not saying that this doesn't happen, in fact, I'm sure that there is a lot more of it going on than we are shown on television. But that's the basis of my opinion here. What if Isiah Thomas was a $60,000 a year office manager from Anywhere, USA? Would the media be all over this if an alleged victim of sexual harassment made an effort toward the type of award that was given? Probably. But what if that type of award wasn't possible? Yep, we'd be hearing more about the Britany's and Lindsay's or other shenanigans.

Yes, and as a New Yorker, I hope someone buys this team from Cablevision and start cleaning house.
Talk about where stupidity and enablers rule, this is the current MSG. All the lurid details has been published in all the NYC local papers and news, and you have to be a real moron to believe the defendents. By the way, all the people that lied for Dolan and Thomas got promotions and raises 1 month ago including that intern that slept with Marbury, so we know which side lied in this case.
Is this Brown woman competent to do the job, probably not, but they just gave her the weapons to use against them.
Everyone in NYC knows that Dolan and gang are a bunch of morons that live in their own little world, they just think we are too stupid to see through it.

Thomas has exhibited scumbag behavior since he was a player. You'll not find much, if any, sympathy from former players. He was known as an instigator who started crap and then ran away, like Carmelo Anthony. Karl Malone split his head open one night with a blatant elbow and no one else in the NBA derided him for it. Thomas gets no sympathy. Justice is served. And Wego is right on about the night he led the Pistons off the floor after the Bulls kicked their asses. The man has no class at all.

Isiah is a dirty person, he was a dirty player, he was a dirty coach and he just has no class.
Back with the bad-boys he was so dirty!!!
He was the one that started the brawl at MSG when he told C. Anthony not to go to the rim or something will happen to him, encouraging his players to start something!!!!
He disrespected a women and i personally think that he is an A** H*le and he should not be able to coach for anyone or anything. What a bad role model in his past and present!!

Nope. Sexual harassment is everywhere. 2 out of 3 women experience sexual harassment, but only 1 out of 20 reports it. It's sad. Half of them doesn't think it's a big deal, because it's somewhat "flattering." And the other half just don't want to lose their jobs or not get a promotion.
So if a woman claims she's sexually harassed, she's got a 2 in 3 chance of telling the truth.
Do you not think Isiah called her *****, ho, and all that words? (In the manner that describes her as a ***** and a ho-slut, not as a black woman.) There are many witnesses in the organization who testified that he did. There are also many witnesses in the organization who said he didn't. So it's funny. Someone is lying. Are the people in line for a promotion lying or are the people who don't care if they loose their jobs lying? You tell me.

I doubt that Isiah is the type of man who would do what the jury convicted him of doing. I saw his press conference afterwards, no cockyness or anything like that. It was Isiah speaking from his heart.

Based on what I have read and heard, this seems a bit suspect to me. Thomas's legal team seemed to discredit all the woman's claims and ruined her character. I think this is a joke in all honesty, freaking empowering women lol.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Isiah Thomas never has shown any class. Remember when he led his team off the court when the Bulls beat them fairly, and he wouldn't shake Jordon's hand. He always has been an ***hole, and I'm glad to see him get his. What a jerk.

Although he is one of my favorite players of all time, I know for a fact that Zeke is an asshole, as is DMAN. He even admitted on tape that he called her a *****. And yes she is only out to get the money.
The next faze of the trial will be how much she will actually get.
