I have lived in a nice neighborhood now for 9 years. While there are a few of of young (late 30's) people here, a good handful of them are older.

We have two houses in the neighborhood that have been bought and are now being rented out to section 8/hud. Our neighborhood has gone down the toilet in just one summer.

The people that live in the two section 8 houses know each other and are CONSTANTLY fighting, both verbally and physically. The fighting has escalated so much that the whole neighborhood is upset.

I have called the police several dozen times over this past summer but it doesnt seem to do any good. NOT that it's because of the police, but because the women ALWAYS bail their husbands out. Both families have young children under the age of 5 and nobody seems to care about these young ones. when the adults are fighting, the kids are there watching and screaming because they are scared.

we can't move right now, does anyone have any advice? I am out of idea's.

you can report them to the department of housing and urban development. those who receive set ion 8 are required by law to abide by a set of family obligations .

to know the complete list you must go by your states regulation but here is the set of rules in effect in most counties

here are some of the rules
2) The Family (Including Each Family Member) Must NOT:
a) Own or have any interest in the unit (other than in a cooperative, or the owner of a
manufactured home leasing a manufactured home space).
b) Commit any serious or repeated violations of the lease. (IE: non-payment or late
payment of rent, poor housekeeping, disturbing the peaceful enjoyment of neighbors
etc.)
c) Commit fraud, or bribery or any other corrupt or criminal act in connection with the
program.
d) Participate in illegal drug or violent criminal activity.
e) Sublease or let the unit or assign the lease or transfer the unit.
f) Receive Housing Choice Programs tenant-based housing assistance while receiving
another housing subsidy, for the same unit or a different unit under any other Federal,
State or Local housing assistance program.
g) Damage the unit or premises (other than damage from ordinary wear and tear) or
permit any guest to damage the unit or premises .
h) Engage in threatening, abusive or violent behavior toward any LBHA personnel.
i) Be related to the landlord (owner). The landlord cannot be the parent, child,
grandparent, grandchild, sister or brother of any member of the participating family,
including minors. The only exemption that may be approved by LBHA is if a family
member is a person with disabilities.
j) Engage in illegal use of a controlled substance; or abuse of alcohol that threatens the
health and safety or right to peaceful enjoyment of the premises by other residents.

Don't talk to her husband and do sh*t that like that. Wouldn't make sense if the husband doesn't know his wife till now. Try informing a department where they can keep an eye on her behavior and stop that influence on her innocent children. What the efff is she thinking about??? Ignore her, If she tries to talk to you rudely the next time even though you didn't talk to her, tell her your calling the COPS. She can't do nothing with any gang or whatever she says. COPS are Cops who can handle these issues and put her across the right departments for her well being.

Just Forgiven that sounds like a very sad story indeed. However if you have tried to talk sensibly to these victims of abuse and they ignore your suggestions then there is not a lot else you can do. Perhaps you could do some networking with people who live outside of the neighbourhood you live and someone may know of another residence you could have for a reasonable price. Too bad that you are being forced out of your neighbourhood but this does happen at times. Best of luck and hope that you are successful in finding more suitable accomodations for you and your family.

if i are currently buy ur house, u can file a complaint with the company that usually watches over ur neighbor hood. ( in ur lease they have this company that needs to make sure that ur lawn is cut, there is no trash lawn, no solicitors, etc) they will eventually come to ur rescue. also form a committee meeting and politely ask to keep these arguments in closed doors. another thing do an anonymous call to the CPS, they can take a look into the kids matter.

File a complaint against the police. Tell them that these people have been called about numerous times and that they need to stay in jail. For good.

call HUD and report them get your neighbors to report them because the police must not be reporting them. I can not stand stupidity!! I bet section 8 handles it from there everything you told us, feel free to repeat it to them word for word they are probably not married some women just like to tote their burdens with them!
