1. Make sure you are TTC (trying to conceive) during your ovulation. Usually 14 days after your period when you have cervical mucus that is the consistency of egg whites.

2. Don't get up after sex. Lie on your back for 10-15 minutes, legs bent, hips on a small pillow so the sperm stay in the cervix. Not too high or they get behind the cervix and can't get in.

3. Don't douche or use the bathroom after sex. Wait 30 minutes before urinating.

4. Consider your weight. If your underweight or even very thin, try gaining 10 lbs, it's worked for some women. If you run or do vigorous exercise, cut back a bit. Sometimes your body is just working so hard on that, that it won't let you have a baby.

I hope these tips help! Good luck!

first of all if you were taking contraception at first then it will take a while to get out of your system depending on how long you have been using the contraceptive and one year is nothing i had to try for 18 months b4 i became preggers now i have twins. It is too early too start worrying yet just let nature take its course, my friend has been trying for 7 years thats when you start to worry,
but if you are tryin 2 get pregnant change your lifestyle to make sure no smokin, no drinking, eating healthily, and try not too think about it too much otherwise when you and your husband do your thing it will feel like a chore and not making love.
Enjoy having sex why you can because when you have a child you hardly have time to get food let alone sex.
hope my advice was helpful

It depends on how long you've been trying. 80% of couples get pregnant with in the first 6-12 months of trying. If you have been activly trying to conceive for one year, it's time to set up a consult with your doctor to discuss the next steps.

I fully believe that the cervical mucous method, while a little gross, is the best way to tell when you are ovulating. As you are aware, ovulation is the key to pregnancy. So if you follow the clues, your body will tell you when it's most likely to become pregnant.

Good luck!

Have you been trying for the entire year? My OB told me a healthy couple can easily take up to a year to conceive. If you don't feel you want to begin fertility treatments so soon, I would suggest ovulation predictor tests - you get them at Walmart or a drug store. You can sort of determine when you are ovulating based on your discharge and how many days after your period you are. If you have sex on the day you ovulate, you are more likely to conceive. Also, there are herbal fertility supplements and you can chart your body temperature in conjunction with the tests to help determine your most fertile times.

The internet offers tons of advice - check out www.fertilityfriend.com

Best of luck to you :)

Some women take up to 1.5-2 years on their own to get pregnant. You should go to a doctor and get yourself and your husband checked out if you have been trying for 1 year. 85% of couples get pregnant within 1 year of trying.

First off there are only four days in the month you can conceive. You need to find one of those thermometers that tell you what days that is. They are for women of course.
Next save up the sperm to get a maximum load and have sex on the right days. This is the best you can do scientifically.
Most other things are folk tales.

See your doctor first thing. You and your hubby will need to both go. They will tell you what they will do in checking both of your fertility. Start charting your temps using the free website www.fertilityfriend.com to know what your cycle is doing. Read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". It is a great book my doctor recommended to me.

Both of you need to start living healthy. You start taking prenatal vitamins, exercise, eat healthy, don't smoke, don't drink, etc. Your hubby needs to take a daily mens vitamin, exercise, eat healthy, don't smoke, don't drink, stay out of hot tubs, wear boxers, etc.

Really the first step is talking to your doctor. It isn't that hard to do. We started this process about 7 months ago and we lived through the exams, tests and bloodwork. Best of luck ttc!!!!

Come again?

I'm going to go way out on a limb and assume that you and your husband are actually having unprotected sex (with each other).
If that is not working, it's time to see the Doctors to verify you are both capable.

Good Luck.
