Hi Matt, Dont worry about this error. Its a simple problem to have. Dont restore iPod or re-install iTunes. This error occurs when the iTunes is not able to find the file when you sync it.

For example, lets say that you have enabled Auto Sync whenever your iPod is connected to your computer. So, when the iPod is connected, the iTunes goes in to the specific directory, and syncs/updates the files on your iPod. Lets say, that you have all your photos to be synced from C:\Pictures\..

So, whenever the iPod is connected, the iTunes will look into the C:\Pictures directory and update the photos in your iPod. When it is not able to find the directory, in this case, "Pictures", the same error message is displayed. Just check if those auto sync folders exist. Chances are that might have been renamed, moved or deleted.

Its not only the photos, i just gave an example. It could be audio, video, or even the contacts. Just check in those auto sync folders exist. If not, create it. Thats it! No more error!

If your iPod doesnt work after this too, send me a mail. I will try to help.

I would assume based on your description that it's an itunes problem, not an iPod problem. Try reinstalling iTunes.
