Made in China:
Today business are more interested in very low paying (outsourced) labor.
People don't have common sense or ethics.
Did I mention outsourcing?
Money,Money, money, money (CEOs claim to not know what happened when corruption or recall happens). What is their job?
Since the bible and prayer have been removed from schools and anything to do with God (of the bible) being removed from public places, the US has declined.

It is one way for our society to be forced into the "New World Order" & eliminating the middle class people. There will only be the RICH & the POOR & this will mean that if you can pay for quality & safety, then you will get it. If you can't, then you must take what is available to you without having the "luxury" of safety & quality concerns because of your low economic status. When people have nothing to look forward to, then they cease to care about things like safety & quality, because it is not within their reach. Add substance abuse to the equation & what you end up with is what we are currently having to deal with in today's society!

My husband had surgery yesterday and the hospital staff was wonderful and it's pretty sad that I was surprised at their compassion and kindness.
My ex mother-in-law is in a wonderful, caring, senior living center. She loves the people who help her.
I wonder if there are fewer people who value safety and quality or if it's just the media has access to more information.

I think we do value safety and quality- more than ever before in fact. Enhanced seatbelts, infant carseats, toddler booster seats, multiple airbags...... the list goes on and on and on. More accidents happen because there are more people on the road, more people with access to high tech medical care, more people flying on more flights with more airlines..... it's the proportinate rate in an exploding world population.

Years ago a man came out with a cane that lit up at nite offered them free to seniors No takers. My background as a driving instructor puts safety first. My cane is wrapped on glow tape, tried to give the left over tape away no takers. My dear mother refused it for her walker. I agree whats up???

Oh we value it! But those that supply those services are all about the money not the quality. Same with most other businesses.
Money talks the rest of us take a walk.

I agree with what the others said and would like to add that in previous days, quality was important, and things were made to last. Now they are made to break and be replaced to generate more profits

My generic answer to questions like this is "The Media". It happened. We just didn't hear about it.
