Gandhi did not oppose the partition of India as he should have. Some people felt that he secretly supported Nehru's ambition and hence partition happened.
Partition lead to lots of violence in which many innocent Hindus and Muslims , it also created some unwanted headaches like Kashmir etc. for India.
Some people really got angry over this because they believed Gandhi could have avoided the partition if he wanted too.
This lead to his assassination.

Mahathma Gandhiji is a great patriot, Leader and freedom Fighter. But whoever it may be nobody have rights to divide a country. We all believe that Gandhiji is the greate supporter of non-violence. We believe that because of Gandhiji we got freedom, We believe that we got freedom without violence and blood, We believe that Nathuram Godse is a villain.

Why we believe like this? Because we are tuned to believe like that by our so called politicians.

We didn't get freedom because of Gandhiji. It is the biggest myth that our so called government planted in the minds of people.

What most of us don't know is because of Gandhiji, our country is divided, because of Gandhiji the freedom movement got slowdown, because of Gandhiji lakhs of Indians got killed. (Including Bhagath Singh). Because of Gandhiji still India is suffering from communal riots. Because of Gandhiji still we are all suffering.

These things you never come across in any history text books. Because he is projected as an International leader from India. It's fully biased by the congress government.

I'm not against Gandhiji or his non-violence. I'm great admirer of Gandhi's leadership capabilities. But he used these things in a wrong way. That lead India towards partition and killings of lakhs of Indians.

You might be surprise to here all these things. If possible read the book 'Why I killed Gandhi' by Gopala Godse(Brother of Nathuram Godse - It's the report of what Nathuram Godse's justification in the court).

We think that Nathuram Godse as a villain because he killed Gandhiji. But do you know Nathuram was a great patriot and freedom fighter? I bet very few people know about it.

When Nathuram was justifying his action, the whole court was listening to him with pin drop silence. The whole country was shocked by the truth and facts that Nathuram revealed about Gandhiji in court.

I know most of you may not agree with me. But truth is always true. If Gandhiji was not killed at that moment definitely we are not able to live as peacefully as we live today.

Still if you are not convinced, are didn't understood what I'm saying... Please get back to me. I will give the details

You get 50% supporters and 50% opponents for every issue. The people who lived at that time know the real reasons. What we got as history is a distorted figure. We do not know the other side of the story.

There is no justification for the assassination of any leader of any nation. There have been many leaders of many nations assassinated by malcontents and many malcontents continue to justify their actions. Anyone who justifies these acts by others could just as easily become an assassin themselves, as they apparently believe that is the proper way to remove a leader they don't like.

He was an anti-Hindus. He is a womaniser (always surrounded by women). He is in favour of muslims. Just like Nehru, who is a muslim+hindu cross and had affairs with many ladies. Ofcourse, they both had many other good qualities as well.

All the human beings on this earth are not of same mental status.People have different thoughts, different ideologies and different faith. So extreme cases of opinions away from majority opinion are also bound to exist and they cannot be changed by coercion. We have to ignore such opinions.
