World War II
Germany and Japan apologizes for War Attrocities in Europe and Asia.
How about Spain for the genocide of an entire continent?
or the United States for the illegal invasion of several countries?

Edit: Erm the U.S did illegaly invade other countries.
The U.S invaded Mexico and the other Spanish territories during the Spanish-American war and to this day occupy it.
The U.S also invaded the Native american populations of America.
Sooo yeah not all the wars the U.S did is temporary.

What an incredibly dour life you must live to be so concerned about this.
If it makes you feel better, I will apologize for anything I or my ancestors or any of their descendants did that offended you or any of your ancestors or their descendants in times past or in times future.
Now that we've taken care of that - what say we learn from the past, do our best to not offend anyone . . . but still be strong and valiant enough to defend ourselves or those who may not be able to defend themselves. Really, the only time that war is justifiable is as a last means to defend their families, property, rights, privileges, and freedoms.

The people of Germany and maybe Japan apologized for WWII...but they still have survivors from those wars.
The people of the USA do not have any survivors from the Mexican War, or Spanish-American War, or the Indian Wars.
So modern people do not have to apologize for history. That is a looney concept.

There's no such thing as an illegal invasion. The U.S. is currently invovled in an illegal occupation of Mexico? We OWN those lands. They are part of OUR country. You lost that war over 150 years ago and have no claim to any of the territory we won and your goverment ceded to us in a treaty, get over it.

The U.S. never invaded any countries illegally. We went into Vietnam at the request of the RVN president. It was a UN decision to attack Iraq in 1991. We went into Afghanistan to bring down a world of hurt on those who caused 9/11. The second Iraq war was to remove Saddam and eliminate his WMD stockpiles which are mainly in Syria and Iran. We did find 500 canisters of potent mustard gas. What's so illegal about that? Why do you think the US of A has to apologize for taking care of our national defense? Protecting this country does not stop when you leave the country. Try to understand that it's the sacrifices of the brave men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the other wars we've fought in who gave you the right to launch this unprovoked and pointless attack against them. I'm a military fiction author and take personal offense at this. All the invasions I conducted in the books were needed to ensure national security and to defeat radicals who want to kill Americans because we do nothing other than exist. That's something to think about.

Why should the living apologize for what their long-deceased ancestors did? Sure, maybe the US could apologize to Iraq and Vietnam, but somehow I don't think that our apologies would be accepted!

Why doesn't every country apologise to every other one for every war and boundary change over the past 1,000 years?
Would you be happy then?
Sounds like a rubbish party, though.
Are you slightly left-wing? (only a guess)
