Now lets consider that the ipod's battery get drained in 4 phases. So now my prob is even if i listen to songs for one hour and watch only one 5 min video in that one hour..after seeing the 5min video and songs in an hour..my batteries 1 phase gets used up and only 3 phases are left to be completed..So is my battery supposed to be used up that quickly or is their some problem with my battery?

I'm not sure what you mean by phases ... do you mean like after you do all that, a quarter (1/4 or 25% lol) of your battery has been drained? If so, check your settings.
If all you are doing is listening to music during that hour, make sure !!! that you go to "Settings" > "Backlight Timer". Then click it from "Always on" to whatever, 2 seconds or 5 seconds. You want to do this because otherwise your battery is being drained because your backlight is constantly on!
Then go to "Settings" > "Brightnes". Unless you need it extra bright, turn it to the lowest setting. The brighter your screen is, the faster the battery drains!
The video doesn't waste much, but don't have it on the brightest setting.
