If you feel like you are ready and you have really talked all of it out then I would say go for it! I had my 1st child when I was 17, and it was not planned. I had my 2nd when I was your age. I was married by then. There are pros and cons to having children very young. So far, my husband and I are loving it! We have 5 children together. 11,9,7,4,2. I just turned 29 and he is 31. I think it would be awesome for you to start young. You seem to be on the right track.

If I were you I would wait until you start uni first. Just to see how that goes, and how difficult that is for you.

I really don't believe that age has anything to do with whether or not a person is ready to be a mother, but I will tell you that no one is ever ready for a baby. There's just no way that one can be fully prepared for such a thing. It's a HUGE responsibility.

In the end, only you will know what you can and can't do. So best of luck to you either way.

i was 19 when i had my daughter, i love her with all my heart but i wish i would've waited. me and my BF where together for 5 years and we were ready and i got pregnant, he changed, was never there and such. i would wait until your married, and know for sure he is the one. having a child is a big step in a relationship, you're not only having to take care of yourself, and each other but a child as well, and they take up all your time, i feel guilty when i go out with friends and leave with my mom, when i have time. i go to school, have a job and have to take care of her, i get no more then 4 hours of sleep a night, and when shes sick i don't get any, and just think you might get a colicky baby. what I'm trying to say is its touch to be a mom and a dad at the same time, so i would make sure he is t he one, and maybe wait til your married

Hunny, to be honest with you 19 is a little young to be wanting a baby... I am 22 and feel i am not ready and i've been with my bf for 5 years!!!! First of all you're not married, how do you know ur bf won't leave u? I know it's harsh of me to say, but i know of many girls who were in your situation and their men left them as soon as they fell pregnant.

A baby is expensive too and a lifelong commitment... I would wait a while... wait till you're even more financially stable and at least until you and your bf are engaged... and make sure BOTH you and your bf are ready...

Hope i haven't offended you in any way...

:o)
Good luck!

I don't see anything wrong with it, I'm 22 and just got married a year ago. All I've ever wanted was a baby.......even when I was still one! We've been trying and still nothing, but if we had one when I was your age, or now, It wouldn't have made me a worse mother. I think when your already family oriented growing up, you know what you want and when you want it. Don't let anyone else tell you when your ready.
