Hi,
I own a Toshiba Satellite A100-062 laptop.

I am disabled and not very good with computers, just limited experience.

My prob is, I did a recovery using disk supplied as I had a few probs an, |i got as far as the first 2 or 3 pages as i was using arrow buttons and this page I couldnt do anything, so I pressed next and i ended up on desktop. Now very time I stick disk in, instead of it wiping hard drive clean it goes straight on to desktop and everything I loaded is still on desktop no mastter how many times I try a recovery, any ideas guys?

You say that when you load a disk everything you loaded is still on the desktop. What are you trying to do?

If you remove a program (hopefully through Add/Remove) you may delete the program but any icons/shortcuts you created will still be there. Just right-click and delete.

If you are trying to erase the hard drive, which will competely erase everything on your computer, just open My Computer, right-click on C, and click format. Be darn sure this is what you want to do before you click. I view format as the fix of last resort.

If you want to go for a Windows Repair first, I'll include a couple links which will explain it to you.

A recovory disk does not wipe your hardrive clean. But if you format your hardrive it will wipe everything clean. But you can't format the drive that your computer is running off of.
