Cutting my own frames need the molding in 3 - 5 foot lengths

I just did that 2 weeks ago , Home Depot has all the supplies and they will do it for you right there, he didn't charge me anything or you can go to AC Moore, Joanne's or Michaels, they also have supplies. (they may charge you though) Good luck!

Any craft store that has a frame/framing department should be able to educate you on the different styles available. Once you have an idea of what you want, take a stroll thru Lowe's or Home Depot's lumber department and see what styles of moldings are available and compare costs. The biggest expense of custom framing to my mind is being able to calculate the angles and having the right equipment to cut it correctly.

Any lumber yard or one of the "big box" hardware stores should have different styles of molding in stock, and they can cut them for a small milling fee. Or you might like to do it yourself using a hand saw and a miter box. I have cut molding before, and it's pretty soft.
