It will take something that brings a feeling of unity to the people. Katrina did it for a while, 911 did it for a few years and I think the illegal immigration mess will be the next time we all come together. Look at the response we showed when Kennedy and Bush tried their little amnesty tricks. We made sure our represenatives in government knew if they voted for it they were going to be unemployed. Same thing with the Dream Act. It seems the more the NWO and socialists try to take over the real Americans, the PEOPLE, finally stand up and say 'Enough is enough!"

I wasn't aware that the country is off track. Let's examine why.
1) Economy is better then it's ever been. Look at the unemployment, DOW, GNP, consumer confidence, etc. All of these point to a blistering economy.
2) Safety is sound. Number of terrorist attacks on the US mainland since 9/11? 0.
3) Iraq war is progressing. Civilian and military deaths are down. Considerably down. It is a war, and there will be deaths, no matter how advanced an army is.
My only gripe about the country is this: I would like to see more morals and values back into society. To do this, we need to eliminate abortion, gay marriage, get prayer back into our schools, clean up TV and media, etc.
