Could be a warped rotor. Do you 'ride' the breaks?
This will cause intense heat, and possible rotor warping.

In most cases if the vibration is only felt when the brakes are applied it is the brake rotors being slightly warped. This is why the mechanic 'turns' the rotors & drums when they do a full brake job. Not only is he removing the marks created by the old brake pads but he is trueing rotor.
The other item is it may be a tie rod getting sloppy.

Your rotors could be warped. My brakes would vibrate when I was stopping, especially coming down a hill. They also caused my tires to feel out of blance/alignment when travelling at highway speeds.

Make sure you get them replaced with a quality rotor/pad, because mine were replaced by the dealer (Jeep) and they warped again very quickly, and I am not hard on my brakes.

Any number of things, depending on the type of vibration you feel. Loose wheel bearing, out of round brake drum, warped rotors, worn universal or constant velocity joints, loose wheel lug nuts, and also could be in the steering system.
If rotors are warped, when having any work done on tires, brakes or wheels, insist they "hand torque" the lug nuts, as overtightening can and does warp the rotors.

This is related to the rotars and brake pads. The pads squeeze together onto the rotar to force the tire to stop. Both of my brothers are mechanics and they told me not to fret about the issue; so as long as you feel like they are functioning within normal parameters and you feel safe - skip any expense.
