I get where you're coming from. Buddhism is a peaceful, spiritual religion, to a point of course. but if what is happening in Myanmar, had happened to a certain minority non ethnic group of Britain, all Britains major towns and cities would be brought to a standstill. There would be their version of death threats, and religious armies, sorry terrorists would be on the move. I think the UN should pull its finger out and for once, just do something, what are the Un for?

I would love to see people of all religions, througout the world, following their lead and protesting in every town and city in support of their cause. Peacefully.

They are setting an amazing example.

I have a great deal of respect for people who practice Buddism. Part of their teachings is non-attachment. It's a very healthy perspecive on life.

Obviously, when you are facing an oppressive attacker and occupier, this has a down side. Would you prefer the Iraqi response?

You take one out of ten people on the streets and ask them for what they are protesting,Nobody will give you a answer. They don't have a brain power to think, only they will follow the leader shouting in the streets. At the end what they get, nothing, only they will rest in Peace finally. That's why.
