I have a girlfriend who lives in Waldorf, Maryland and has a 13 year old daughter that wants to take ballroom dancing classes with a private instructor but doesn`t want to pay too much and wants a really good teacher can anybody help me out with her question????thx

Check with the local chapter of USA Dance, which is the new name of the U.S. Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association. They can recommend some teachers, and will have an idea of what is a reasonable fee for her area. There are four chapters in Maryland alone. I'm not sure which is closest for Waldorf, but here's the main contacts page for Maryland.

Yes, follow the first answer. USA Dance is an amateur organization, while some of the USA Dancers are better than professionals. They will be able to provide some guidance.
In reality, you can't gave it both ways - really good teacher without paying a lot of money. My observation with Ballroom that bad teachers charge almost the same amount as good teachers. Prices go up steeply for teachers who train professionals. But for training amateurs or beginners it's all the same.

check the high school for after hour programs. Also the park districts may offer dance classes and another are dance studio's. Usually they have an instructor teach a step before a dance party. Most dance studio's have parties at least 2wice if not more a month. They are usually dry(alcohol) so minors are allowed in
