i work in a school as a teaching assistant and the hours and holidays are great as i have school age children so i start and finish with them and i'm off when their off but the actual job is stressing me so much as they keep changing things and the teacher is hardly ever there and i keep being moved from one place to the next so when i go back to my original role all routine has changed...if its confusing to me then surely it must be for the children...it is of no wonder that their behaviour is very challenging at the moment... i am so fed up i just needed to get that off my chest

I've had plenty of jobs I have hated, believe me, you are not alone. The job I have now I LOVE, and I never in a million years thought I would be able to do it. Life is full of surprises. Sometimes you need to jump off the boat and into the water and sink or swim. If you sink, you can still get stronger. More often than not you'll be surprised at what you have in you though.

Am finding my job challenging at the mo too for all the wrong reasons. The care home in which I work has new owners and the focus seems to be on making money, money money and not the client care!
If you feel that way about your job then can you not speak to someone at the school about it? I would definitely tell them how confusing you are finding it.
If it's that bad then I'd start looking at pastures new...I am!

I understand how you feel! My job has a lot of things going for it, but I just do not like it. I dread going in each day. Because of scheduling and other factors changing jobs just doesn't seem like an option.

I'm going to Disneyland in 12 days, and I know the break will do me good!

Hang in there...you're not alone.
