Sometimes family members feel they have to take sides during a divorce. She was only standing up for her brother. Why not HONESTLY give her a fresh start and forgive?

I think you should :
1. Keep the visit as short as possible
2. Maybe all go out for dinner, bowling, anything entertaining- much less likely to be a scene in public.
3. Try to put it behind you if possible.Sure she showed her true colors, but if you are serious about the marriage, you will have to be civil to the sil. Be fake nice if you need to.
4. Remember its just for while, then its fun time alone with your guy.
good-luck.

If you end up in the room alone with her give her a ear full tell her to kiss your *** and to stay out of your way or next time you will put your foot up her *** tell her if she sticks her nose in your business again you will give her two black eyes and when hubby comes back in the room make a polite excuse to leave and hug her good by like you're the best of friends that way if there is a blowup she looks like the bad one.

if you think that she is going to be catty toward you, then don't go, stay in the hotel or take in some sights while he is visiting. just because he is visiting his family, it doesn't mean that they have the right to treat you badly or that you have to take it. try it out first, go over with him and if she is still acting this way, take the car and tell him to call when he is ready to leave.

if you're husband loves you, he will take care of it...if he doesn't...you need more therapy sessions!
