I love my dogs so much, that when one has to spend the night at the vet's office (& you know he is going to be ok), but I still have a hard time sleeping knowing they are not here.

I have a pet rabbit his name is Babbit, I know how you feel. Although he is a house rabbit one day he escaped and went on an adventure. I thought the worst, been eaten by a dog, went under a car or stolen. Anyway, I called the police to report him missing and my wee girl had all her friends out looking for him, after hours of searching he returned with a full tummy having eaten a neighbours flowers! The panic was awful, I understand your sleepless nights. I now have baby stair gates at the outside doors :-)

I do. And also have a hard time sleeping when one is gone for the night, just like I would for the other members of the family.

My pets are definately a part of my family. We have 2 dogs and three cats and they act like brothers and sisters. I also have kids and grandkids that make the pets very much a part of their lives.

Well, since both my pets have been around longer than some of my family, it's hard not to consider them part of the immediate unit. After thirteen and fifteen years, I'm a bit attatched.

Well of course they are. I have a cat in the house and she is queen of the house. Then I have a dog outside that protects the house. I am attached to both of these animals and consider them to be one of the family.

Yes I do, they are very important to me and everyone in my family has there special "baby" of our three cats. We also have a budgerriger and some fishies :)

I do consider them part of the family because they eat and live and are loved here, what else would they be?

wow, you and Haroula sure think alike on questions!

Both of my cats are like my sons. I even refer to them as my children. My fiance gets frustrated with me because we cannot take many overnight trips because I am constantly worried that my boys will not be getting enough attention or they will run out of food or water or I just plain miss their cute little cuddles. I am a sad case. lol
