203 - Check out the tax on fuel and your pension fund and then tell me we are not over taxed. You do know you pay VAT on petrol duty ie they actually tax you for paying a tax.....now that's clever eh!

The opinion polls are all very misleading! How?

Conservative 34%
Labour 40%
Liberal Democrat 18%
others 8%

Total = 100%

But what about the 45% - 55% of people who hate all of the above and will probably not vote at all?

leaving out all these people, essentially disenfranchises them from the political system altogether.

If voting was manditory with a 'none of the above' box AND the results were legally binding (eg if none of the above is selected, then ALL the candidates would be sacked and have to have a re-election giving the population what they REALLY want, then the None of the above would have a clear majority of about 350 - 400 seats.

The reality of the support for the so-called 'mainstream' parties is roughly as follows:

Conservatives 18%
Labour 20%
Liberal Democrat 12%
Others 4%
None of the above 46%

In other words, there is no such thing as a mainstream party. They are now officially all unpopular fringe movements.

The mainstream media dare not allow this reality to 'upset' the perception of mainstream politics. For if this happened, people would realise that actually, voting for other parties would not necessarily be a wasted vote. All it would take is for those people who are sick and tired of labour and tory to agree to vote UKIP one time for all the mainstream parties to be sacked once and for all.

The raw numbers bare this out. the vast majority of voters who vote Conservative or Labour do so reluctantly as a means to prevent the other party from taking power.

We need a peaceful, democratic revolution.

Heck, America getting just as bad. Here the Government Taxes the Tax, just most people not see this. I not have an IRA retirement account because I afraid of what the taxes be on all that tax deferred money when I retire. I just save and pay my taxes now. But, I figure when I retire they will have a Bank Withdrawal Tax then.

For years now every government that has got in ,have patted themselves on the back , pleased and in the belief the country voted for them because they are better than the rest ..The first government to realise they only got in because the country thought they were the best of alternative evils may start to do something productive for the country ,and either stop blaming the last lot on the problems they have adopted or beg for another term in because they have'nt quite got to fulfil there promises yet .they might do even better without the standard comment ......oh! thats work in progress I cant comment on that .Or the best one ,I cant comment on individual cases. If M.Ps were made to live in the constituancy they represent that would be a start..I would'nt blame the one government .

Because they have an infatuation with Gordon Brown?

On a more serious note lol... Have you ever thought of why they are increasing taxes? To fund the teenagers mothers!

In other words "the lower class of society".

well i dont vote, therefore I could denounce the government as i didnt give them power to rule over my life so therefore not pay taxes and not pay council tax. this way I could still use the roads by paying car tax, take my own rubbish to the tip and not pay any income tax or national insurance and pay it towards a private pension.

but i guess the older generation vote for labour because of how the tories screwed them in the 80's recession.

The people who vote for them are the benefits culture (chavs, teenage mums, scroungers). When labour came to power we did not have the highest number of teenager mums in Europe. We did not have the biggest benefits payout in the world but we do now!!

Unfortunately these people vote and they are not going to bite the hand that feeds them.

It's the hard workers who receive nothing and pay for them who will be not voting for them.

Sheep never change The same ideas/thoughts run through the families for generations.75% of labour supporters when asked why they vote labour will tell you its because their mother/father/grandmother/grandfather also voted for labour and if its good enough for them ,its good enough for them as well but they still dont know why they vote labour

As a Scot, I have to admit it's our fault. Sorry. In the last election, England voted Tory, but because they still count Scotland's votes for the UK parliament, despite us having our own bunch of numpties in Edinburgh, and Scotland either votes Labour or SNP, we swung it for Labour. Again, sorry.

Tax levels in UK are about average for Europe. Slightly higher than US, but we don't have to fork out just to see a doctor.
