I am one full week late on period. I have taken 11 home pregnancy tests (First Response, EPT, Digital tests, Walgreens, Target brands). They were ALL positive. Not just faint lines.....very positive lines! But I can not get in to see doctor till later this week. My friend says that I should not believe I am pregnant until doctor proves I am. Huh?!?!?

The test the doctor's perform is virtually the same as the ones you buy. The most I've ever taken to confirm pregnancy is 2 HPT's. It is unlikely that you would get 1 positive result, let alone 11 unless you were on certain medications. Congratulations, dear - You are pregnant!

Why does your friend not want you to be pregnant? Is she trying to get pregnant and not succeeding maybe?
Those things are accurate, and usually if 2 say it, it's a done deal.
Want to know a secret - the DR'S ORRICE uses a EPT to find out, just like you did! The chances were slim that the first positive would have been a false positve, it's almost non-existant that it would have been false 11 times!

With my last pregnancy, I went in to get a verification that I was pregnant. The nurse told me that if I got a positive from a home pregnancy test than it wasn't necessary to do a test there in the office because they run the same sort of "pee tests".
If all your tests say you are pregnant, I'd say you are.
I agree with the other person that responded with: believe you are pregnant until it is proven that you are not. Take care of yourself and your baby.

Well, that's good that you got all positive results!! I do know that those tests aren't just wrong. Your not going to take 11 tests and be wrong. Usually when they say ''pregnant'' they're not making a mistake...sometimes the negative answer can be wrong...more times than right, for me!! =/ but I would go into Planned Parenthood and get a test, they are walk ins too!! I wouldn't be able to wait. Congrats!! And good luck!!

These tests are just as good as the ones the doctor gives you. After 11 positives, I would say you are pregnant. Maybe your friend doesnt want you to be dissapointed if it turns out you arent pregnant. She could be trying to protect you.

11 tests saying positive make it pretty official. I took 2 and then called the doctor and he couldn't see me for 2 weeks. He said it was a pretty safe bet to say I was pregnant...and of course he confirmed it when I saw him. With 11 tests positive....CONGRATS!! Tell your friend not to worry about it and you do what you want!!

You are soooooooooooooo pregnant! It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a false positive result- the test will only detect HCG in your urine IF YOU ARE PREGNANT. If you test +, then guess what.....? 9 months, about 50 pounds, and about 24 hours of excruciating pain, and you'll be a mommy. Good luck with that.

you should have stopped after the first test, and not wasted any more money. Home pregnancy tests, when positive, are completely reliable. Most doctors use these same tests in their office. Congratulations..

If all those tests are positive then you are pregnant! But going to the doctor is a good idea because he will she you that you really are pregnant.
